WHAT GUIDES OUR CHURCHES

Our shared priorities

These priorities shape how we follow Jesus, serve our communities, and plant churches together.

Gospel Centered

Jesus and His good news are at the center of our churches. The gospel brings us into a relationship with God and continues to shape us as we grow.

Bible Rooted

Scripture guides our churches. We trust the Bible to lead us in spiritual growth, Sunday teaching, and everyday decisions, both large and small.

Mission Driven

God calls us to make disciples among all nations. That calling shapes how we disciple people, send our members into their communities, and plant churches.

Spirit Led

We depend on the Holy Spirit and seek His direction through prayer. Every believer has a part in serving others and living out the mission of God.

Real Authenticity

We want our churches to be places where people can be honest. As we share our lives and struggles, real relationships create room for God to bring change.

GET TO KNOW OUR CHURCH PLANTERS

Meet Jamie & Autumn Fullington

Connection Church Oconee · Oconee County, Georgia

Jamie and Autumn first connected with the Network as students at Georgia Southern in 2012. After helping launch Connection Church Athens, they felt called to plant in Oconee County—the community where they both grew up.

Alongside their three children, AJ, Mary Ellen, and Wren, they’re investing in their community by making disciples, growing Connect Groups, and planting a church.

CONNECTION CHURCH OCONEE

The Fullingtons’ story

Their connection with the Network began in 2012 while they were students at Georgia Southern. They experienced biblical community there. After graduation, they returned to Athens and married.

When Connection Church Athens launched in 2020, they joined the launch team and served in several volunteer roles. In July 2023, Jamie left his sales career to join the church staff as its discipleship and college pastor.

As their family grew to include AJ, Mary Ellen, and Wren, they sensed God calling them to plant in Oconee County. Their desire is to make disciples who make disciples, multiply Connect Groups, and see churches multiply across northeast Georgia.

They’re grateful for the leaders and people at Connection Church Athens who helped prepare and support them. Pray for their family and Connection Church Oconee as they follow God’s call.

CHURCH PLANTING

Explore the residency

Through our church planting residency, we train and develop leaders, share what we’ve learned, and send church planters with funding and a team to help launch a new church.

Church plant training

Half your time focuses on coaching, fundraising, launch team development, your prospectus, ministry plan, first-year budget, and ministry preparation.

Hands-on ministry

The other half includes teaching, developing leaders, ministry assignments, elder meetings, and learning church systems. Residents start a small group with people outside the existing congregation.

Support for your launch

Approved planters receive a $2,778 monthly salary during residency and a $25,000 Network supplement. After launching, support includes three years of coaching, access to ministry systems and creative content, and up to $25,000 annually for the first three years.

What we ask

Residents complete assessment, serve under church leadership, affirm Connection’s faith statement and shared priorities, commit to church planting and international missions, establish a plurality of elders, and participate in three years of coaching with financial and ministry accountability.

Recommended timeline

Begin August 1, hold interest meetings in fall, form the launch team in January, and finish residency April 30.

Let’s talk about your next step.
